Holmes Camp and Retreat Center, located a short drive north of New York City, is 550-acres set among pristine forests, lakes, cliffs, trails and wetlands in the hill country of northern Putnam County/southern Dutchess County in the lower Hudson River Valley). At Holmes, our mission is to “Educate, Empower, Renew.” We do so by providing comfortable and affordable lodging and meeting space to churches, nonprofits, and community groups. We do not currently host private or family events.

Some facilities include a kitchen with rental. Grills are available for use in some locations. | The Lodge and waterfront are seasonally available for group rental. As is the Robinson Pavilion for day use or tent camping. Call for rates. | There are hiking trails on site and the Empire State Trail

Holmes Camp can provide meals for your retreat. All meals are served in the Agape Dining Hall. (Meals must be ordered with your reservation. Walk in's are generally not permitted. Minimum of 12 guests for meal service.)

Conference / Meeting Rooms

Charlotte's Room (Located in Agape) is a beautiful rustic room surrounded by windows that fits up to 50 people theater style.

Agape's Mezzanine is a casual meeting area on the second floor of Agape overlooking the dining hall.

Vinik Hilltop Conference Room has large windows and overlooks the Holmes hilltop. Can accommodate up to 50 theater style.

Vinik Hilltop Board Room is a small meeting room perfect for committee meetings or break out groups. Can accommodate up to 10

Projector and sound system must be reserved at time of contract.

Waterfront / Pool

We have a lodge on Westminster lake that has a full swim dock as well as a boat dock.
Lifeguard's start at $185 for 90 minute session, when available. Waterfront use must be arranged at least two weeks prior to arrival.
