Our modern cabins are furnished with bunk beds and can accommodate as many as 12-16 people. Each cabins has its own private bathroom with 2 sinks, 2 toilets, and 2 showers with attached private changing areas. Most of our cabins are duplex style, with 2 cabins sharing a porch and entryway. Cabins in the Indian Guide Lodge and Biltmore share a common meeting area.

Meals are served buffet style in our dining hall.

We have an outdoor chapel that groups can use for worship services at no extra charge when it is available.

We have two large Multi-Purpose rooms with tables and chairs that can be custom configured to meet your group's needs. Depending on the configuration, each room can seat up to 100 people and free wi-fi is available.

Activities

Many of Cheerio's traditional camp activities are included in the rental fee and open to all groups. These include Archery, BBs, Canoeing, Climbing, and Mini-Golf. The Lake Slide and Rope Swings may also be available, weather permitting.

Team Building

Meals

Camp Cheerio has some of the best food around, and all of our meals are served buffet style in our Dining Hall. We have plenty of options for vegetarians and guests with food allergies or special dietary needs, and fresh coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available 24 hours a day.

YMCA Camp Cheerio is located in the northwestern corner of North Carolina, near the town of Sparta in Alleghany County. We are about an hour's drive from Winston-Salem, NC and only 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, just off Highway 21 between Elkin and Sparta, N.C.
